![]() fonts folder in my Home file, but then OpenOffice refused to run. I am running Mint/Cinnamon, if that helps at all. Thank you all for your time and consideration. I am strictly an amateur and have no clue as to what I am doing. So what did I do wrong? Please keep it simple. So I tried to re-install it, and got this in my terminal after a successful download and installation, ![]() But when I ran OpenOffice, it kept crashing, but did not tell me why. I had followed the instructions from one page to create the folder ".fonts" in my Home Folder. So I did without, but now I need to install new fonts, which I did, but for some reason they blocked my use of OpenOffice. That made it work very nicely, and I had no problems other than the fonts I used not coming up. So I removed LibreOffice and installed OpenOffice as per the instructions on. I do a lot of writing, and prefer to use Apache OpenOffice rather than have to re-learn a new setup with LibreOffice. I have been using Mint since late 2021, and have been fairly content with it. ![]() I am a brand new user of Linux Mint 20, and Linux in general.
